[Скандал] Ди-джей iHeartLATINO и группа CNCO: оскорбления в отношении BTS и Кореи

The five-member band CNCO began its career in late 2015 with great expectations, youthful energy and a strong motivation to succeed. But not even they could have predicted everything that they have accomplished. In just over three years, they have had 10 singles on the Billboard Latin Pop Songs chart. And their worldwide phenomenon «ReggaetГіn Lento» is a true classic that Latin-music fans will still be singing along to for decades to come. Now, the group is ready to become a major force in mainstream pop/R&B.

But how did these talented guys go from being reality-show contestants to winning over multitudes of fans on five continents?

Ever since its formation, the Latin GRAMMYВ®-nominated phenomenon CNCO (pronounced C-N-C-O) has dazzled the music industry as one of Latin pop’s most influential and prolific hit-makers. Comprised of four young Latinos of different nationalities – Christopher (Ecuador), Erick Brian (Cuba), Richard (Dominican Republic) and Zabdiel (Puerto Rico) – the group emerged from Univision’s musical competition La Banda.

Christopher Velez is 24-years-old and was born in Ecuador. At the age of 18 he moved to New Jersey in search of a better life for him and his family. He was working hard to help out his household, until he decided to follow his dreams and audition for La Banda. Being far away from his family got him motivated to stand out week after week as one of the show favorites. He eventually was chosen to become a member of CNCO.

«I want to be able to help my family and provide them with everything they need, but most importantly, I want to be able to do what I love the most, music. CNCO has helped me evolve as a human being and as an artist and developed my skills as a songwriter. I am thankful for this opportunity!»

Erick Brian

Erick Brian ColГіn moved from Cuba to the U.S. with his mother and sister in 2012. The 19 year-old, enjoys playing soccer and his favorite team is Real Madrid. Erick stole the hearts of the voters and the judges in La Banda, who saw in him a very unique talent. His main motivation has always been his family, many of whom still live in Cuba.

«I never imagined that this would be my life, CNCO has taught me that dreams can come true. My family keeps me motivated to work hard, I want to make them proud. I aim for my music to be listened all over the world.»

The biggest inspiration for this 21-year-old Californian of Mexican ancestry has been his late grandfather, who gave him the strength to continue singing and to study theater. In his free time he likes to play soccer, write songs and he also enjoys acting. Even though at one point he thought he was going home during the contest, his tenacity, hard work, and talent ultimately made him one of the members of CNCO.

«Being part of CNCO, has helped me grow, not only as an artist, but also as a human being. Now I am able to help out my family, which is my biggest motivation. My grandfather, was who inspired me to become a musician; he showed me the love for music. My band mates and I are working hard to make CNCO a worldwide phenomenon.»

Richard Camacho grew up in the entertainment world with a musician and cameraman as a father and a dancer for a mother. Since he was 3-years-old, Richard knew that music ran through his veins; this 23-year-old Dominican also shares his love of music with his little brother, who also is a singer. His passion for the performing arts was evident to the voters, as well as the judges, who supported him in making his dream come true by becoming a member of CNCO.

Zabdiel De JesГєs is a 22-year-old Puerto Rican, who knew he wanted to be a singer since he was 12. During his teenage years, he was part of a hip-hop and salsa group at his church. He is a multitalented artist, he is a musician, singer, and ballet dancer. His passion for music was clearly visible; every single night when he performed at La Banda he left his soul on stage, winning over the audience that made him a member of CNCO.

Primera Cita produced the group’s first two hits, «Tan FГЎcil» (So Easy) and «Quisiera» (I Wish), songs that bring together reggaetГіn rhythms with romantic lyrics and the guys’ attractive vocal blend. But it was the third single – «ReggaetГіn Lento» – that would go on to make history. Music lovers immediately latched on to the song’s lyrics that pay tribute to old-school urban music. Meanwhile, the music video has racked up over 1.4 billion views on YouTube.

During 2017, CNCO sold out 40 concerts in 15 different countries proving their ticket-selling power. The group also joined Latin music icons Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull on their North American tour opening multiple dates for them in the United States and Canada.

On April 6, 2018, the group released its second album, titled CNCO, debuting at #1 on the Latin sales charts in the United States and Puerto Rico and becoming the biggest Latin album debut of 2018. Within one month of its release, the album was already certified Platinum in the United States and Chile, Double Platinum in Argentina, and Gold in Mexico and Central America.

CNCO has broken all language barriers and they established themselves as an unstoppable global force with their sophomore album that also debuted #1 in 13 countries across the Americas, such as the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and on the Top 20 charts in more than 30 countries around the world, including Singapore, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Cameroon, and Israel; as well as European nations like Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Ireland.

They received a Multi-Platinum certification for global sales in excess of 5 million units for their hit «ReggaetГіn Lento (Remix)» feat. Little Mix which also recently earned them an iHeartRadio Music Award for «Best Remix.»

Besides Little Mix, the group has collaborated with such renowned artists as Ana Mena, Abraham Mateo, Yandel, Enrique Iglesias, Zion & Lennox, Leslie Grace, Becky G, Meghan Trainor, RГ­o Roma and Pinto «Wahin.»

In February 2018, CNCO made its debut at the legendary annual ViГ±a del Mar International Song Festival in Chile, taking home one Gaviota de Oro, one Gaviota de Plata (GoldenВ and Silver Seagull Awards) and the award for the Most Popular Artist of the Festival.

The final single of the CNCO album cycle went on to become the record’s biggest hit. With sensual lyrics and a Colombian vallenato vibe, «Se Vuelve Loca» (She Goes Crazy) hit #1 in October 2018 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Songs, while going Platinum in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Proving their universal appeal, CNCO in September 2018 launched a promotional tour of Japan, Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia, where they gave interviews and met their fans, known as CNCOwners, in person.

CNCO began 2019 on the right foot, touring the U.S. for the first time as a headliner. The U.S. leg of the CNCO World Tour took them to such cities as Los Angeles, Miami and Chicago, where they played to sold-out venues.
