Friday Night Funkin’ has a new look! Friday Night Funkin’ Minus Mod is the rhythm game’s skin pack where the characters appear to match their icons; Girlfriend exchanges her fair complexion and auburn hair for a completely pink look, and Boyfriend is now completely blue! Even the bosses and guest characters have been redesigned to appear like their icons. The game is completely unchanged; you still need to beat each boss per ‘week’ by successfully winning three straight rounds against them.

Friday Night Funkin’ fans can breathe new life into the game by changing the game’s skin. This is where Friday Night Funkin’ Minus Mod comes in. You may have noticed that the icons do not match the characters you play. This mod changes that by redesigning the characters to look like their icons. All characters—Boyfriend, Girlfriend, Daddy Dearest, Mommy Dearest, Monster, Senpai, and Spirit—have been reimagined as moving monotone line art.
The music-themed game‘s mechanics remain unchanged. You must be able to perform in an epic sing-off influenced by PaRappa the Rapper and Dance Dance Revolution. You must align each floating arrow the best you can with your WASD or arrow keys. The meter at the bottom of the screen will decide the result of each round. When you win, it moves to the left, and when you lose, it moves to the right.
Based on how well you do, the meter will move from green to red. If you win all 3 rounds, you advance to the next stage or ‘week.’ This game has 3 different modes: Easy, Intermediate, and Hard. The music is fast-paced and has complicated arrow variations. It will take a lot of focus in order to win.
Brighter and more vivid graphics
Avid Friday Night Funkin players should try out the Minus Mod. It still retains the simple game mechanics with varying degrees of difficulty as you hit each arrow to the beat. While it may be repetitive for experts of the game, it’s still amusing to see how the characters would look in their new skins.
